EVAN CROKER was born in Canberra, Australia. A passion for storytelling was born at age 5, when his mum took him to see a play she was working on. She thought young Evan would squirm and whinge – instead he sat spellbound, and recited funny lines from the play for weeks afterward. Throughout primary and high school he bothered everyone to be in his ambitious Super 8 films, even tying a cape around the family dog’s neck to make her into a super dog. He attended Film/TV courses at university and also became a sound engineer. He currently spends half a week as a sketch comedy producer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation; the other half as a novelist and screenplay writer.
